When one make a visit to the mountain range of kerala, one can easily come accross numerous tribal communities living ugly situation. Our members made a visit to their colonies. Most of these tribes of kerala build their settlements in the dense forest grounds. Houses of these tribes are closely built. They living in groups and depended mostly on nature for all their needs. All tribes of Kerala follow religion believe in Animism etc, appeased devils for sickness and calamities. We saw government mechineries never reached their colonies.                                                                

Tribals have 8.20% of Indian population. Poverty of tribals does not get a clean environment.  Lack of nutritious food, tribals childrens often fell in ill. The parent couldnot treat them in time, so tribals childrens always losing their studies.  Lack of awareness and exploitation Indian tribals facing economic and social problems. Urgent need for tribals now construction of houses, electrification, drinking water facilities, sanitation etc.

Our meeting with panchayath [local body for resolving problems] point to some suggestion, that have an urgent restoration of lands and rehabilitation of tribal families who lost their lands though alienation. Tribals one other demand right to collect forest product without harming forest enviornment. We passed a resolution for 1. self employement for tribals 2.water supply and sanitation 3. promoting tribal medicine 4.improvement of education and health care facilities.
